It's been a wild week for the stock markets. The Dow plunged below 1,000 points for the second time ever on Thursday. Versace is not concerned about the recent 10% drop but adds that everyone should be if the market drops another 10%. Still, he cautions young people who may be worried to stay in the market. Amazon is taking on UPS and FedEx, announcing a new delivery service geared towards businesses. The service, called "Shipping with Amazon," will pick up packages from businesses and ship them to customers. Amazon will launch this service in Los Angeles in the coming weeks. Congress agreed on a spending bill after a brief government shutdown overnight. The House voted around 5 AM eastern time on Friday morning, and then President Trump signed the bill hours later. The spending bill will add hundreds of billions of dollars to the federal deficit. Snapchat is starting to show signs of recovery after a disappointing few quarters. Cheddar senior reporter Alex Heath sits down with Billy Gallagher, author of the new book "How to Turn Down a Billion Dollars: The Snapchat Story," to see what lies ahead for the company. Gallagher was in a fraternity with Snapchat co-founder and CEO Evan Spiegel.

Apple posts stronger-than-expected Q2 results
Apple CEO Tim Cook said Thursday that the majority of iPhones sold in the U.S. in the current fiscal quarter will be sourced from India, while iPads and other devices will come from Vietnam as the company works to avoid the impact of President Trump’s tariffs on its business. Apple’s earnings for the first three months of the year topped Wall Street’s expectations thanks to high demand for its iPhones, and the company said tariffs had a limited effect on the fiscal second quarter’s results. Cook added that for the current quarter, assuming things don’t change, Apple expects to see $900 million added to its costs as a result of the tariffs.
