You might not expect today's temperature to present a heat stroke risk, but even temperatures in the 70s can be deadly. Several young children have died in recent weeks in Washington, Texas, and Florida after being left unattended in a vehicle, and ER doctors want to raise awareness that the inside of a car heats up fast. Flood watches are in effect in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and southern New England through Monday. The National Weather Service says 3 to 5 inches of rain is expected across parts of Long Island and southern Connecticut, with other areas in line for 2 to 3 inches.
