He explains what's taken the Recording Academy so long to break down longstanding representative boundaries. Album of the Year isn't the only category that's making history. Crowley gets into the Rap Song of the Year race, where Cardi B or Rapsody could become the first woman ever to win. Finally, the editor discusses the initiatives Billboard Pride is launching to celebrate LGBTQ artists and fans. In "Love Letters," musicians from the gay community pen heartfelt letters to their supporters about overcoming obstacles. The publication just received its first ever GLAAD Media Award nomination.
