Murder Mystery, starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, brought in huge numbers when it hit Netflix in the summer of 2019. The lighthearted murder mystery (as lighthearted as murder mysteries can be) follows a hairdresser and her police officer husband as they're forced to solve a murder on a yacht during a long-awaited European vacation. The reviews were hit-or-miss at the time but it had me laughing, so I'm looking forward to catching the sequel which hits the platform this Friday.
The Power - Amazon Prime Video

In this series, out March 31, women suddenly develop a biological ability to zap others with electricity. The new power to control men with the threat (or use) of violence upends their domination of politics, business, and family life in a global revolution. That makes for page-turning action in the novel that the show is based on, but the story's real impact comes from showing how individual women and men adapt to this new world. If the series is half as good as the book, I recommend it highly — especially to my fellow dudes.

If for some reason you didn't see Avatar: The Way of Water on the big screen — a major mistake that you should remedy as quickly as possible by buying a ticket at your nearest multiplex — it is now available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video. While the long-awaited sequel deserves a theatrical experience, it's a great film regardless of the format, and I urge pretty much everyone to give it a shot. It contains some of the greatest special effects of all time, and it's got an exciting and emotionally effective story line to boot.

It's one of Netflix's newest projects to hit the streaming platform and if you're into high-stakes conspiracies, government cover-ups and watching a hero in-the-making come and smash it all into pieces, then this might be the show for you. The Night Agent is about a guy named Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso, who is tapped to take on maybe one of the most boring government jobs. He's tasked with manning the emergency phone line that never rings in the White House basement – until one day it does. Sutherland goes on a wild ride to hunt down those responsible for throwing the entire executive branch of government into disarray.
