WGA Strike Just Hours Away From Commencing as Current Agreement Set to Expire

Hollywood could experience its first writer's strike in 15 years if the Writer's Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture are unable to reach an agreement on new contracts. Writers are looking for increased pay and more flexibility to work on multiple shows during down time. Cheddar News senior reporter Michelle Castillo said many of the changes the WGA are seeking stem from a transformation of the industry due to the streaming TV boom.
