WGA Strike Just Hours Away From Commencing as Current Agreement Set to Expire
Hollywood could experience its first writer's strike in 15 years if the Writer's Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture are unable to reach an agreement on new contracts. Writers are looking for increased pay and more flexibility to work on multiple shows during down time. Rite Aid has filed for bankruptcy protection and plans to sell part of its business as it attempts to restructure while dealing with losses and opioid-related lawsuits.
