Waze Partners with Lionsgate To Bring Liam Neeson Experience to Users
Waze has partnered with Lionsgate to allow users to get their directions voiced by Liam Neeson to promote the actor's new film "The Commuter." Amber Kirby, Brand Partnerships for Waze discusses how these campaigns benefit the navigation app and what it takes to bring these voices to life on the app.
Liam Neeson will only be available to users until mid-January in conjunction with the release of the Lionsgate film. Kirby explains that Neeson recorded about 70 phrases for the app, which are implemented into the app and users have the option of choosing Neeson from the list.
Past feature voices have included names like Morgan Freeman, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Darth Vader. Kirby says she is always trying to get big names for new campaigns and they will continue to offer these A-listers as voices in the car.
