W. Kamau Bell, host of CNN’s "United Shades of America,” joined Cheddar to share some spoilers for the upcoming season.
The comedian said that while he provides much of the editorial direction for the show, one of the new episodes was inspired by a social media fan.
“A man on Twitter, who’s a Sikh, reached out to me and said, ‘How come you’ve never done an episode about us?’” Bell said during the interview.
Season three of “United Shades of America,” known for tackling hot political and social topics, will explore everything from living on the Mexican-American border to the stories of U.S. citizens who relocated to Canada after the 2016 election.
“I take a test to find out if it’s [possible] for me to move to Canada, because they don’t just take everybody,” he said. He passed, “but it’s a cliffhanger.”
The third season of “United Shades of America” premieres April 29th on CNN.
