The Federal Communications Commission voted to rollback net neutrality rules on Thursday. The Webby Awards Executive Director David-Michel Davies responds to this announcement. "It's a very sad day," said Davies. "Everybody who makes things for the internet thinks this is a terrible decision." After the vote, Netflix tweeted, "We’re disappointed in the decision to gut Net Neutrality protections." Davies says his concern is that we ultimately do not know how this decision will impact creators and users of the internet. When looking at a newer media start-up like HQ Trivia, Davies says he doesn't know how telecommunications companies will impact smaller creators like this start-up.
