"Night Comes On" features a strong female protagonist who had to find her strength, and was written and directed by women who have done the same. Cheddar's Alyssa Julya Smith speaks with the director, and actress of the film from the Sundance Film Festival. "I learned a lot about what it means to age out of the system," explains the film's co-writer and director Jordana Spiro. "It was important to me that I write it with somebody who could speak to that experience, with honesty and specificity." Actress Dominique Fishback says playing her character in "Night Comes On" provided her an opportunity to have the power of her thoughts translate on film.
