We press Egan on whether Facebook urging users to "take control of the ads you see" stems from Russian ads featured on the platform during the 2016 election. Egan notes that Facebook wants people to be in control of their experience and for them to enjoy spending time on the platform. She tells us she has conversations with her kids about doing regular privacy check-ups and urges other parents to do the same.
