Sanitizing surfaces and objects has been the name of the game during the pandemic. But now many experts, including those at the CDC, are saying those actions did not help us in the fight against the coronavirus. In fact, excessive cleaning can be harmful to our health and induce anxiety and other mental health concerns. A new study shows different strategies may be effective at motivating people to donate, apart from all that “sadvertising.” The study from Nathan Chan, assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Casey Wichman, assistant professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, found that people in good moods are more likely to donate to a charitable cause.
