Students Turning to Social In the Wake of School Shootings
In the wake of the Douglas School shooting students have been leading conversations and movements around the country. Many of those students are turning towards platforms like "Islands," to start conversations and share stories.
Greg Isenberg is the CEO and Founder of Islands. He joins Cheddar to explain how the students at the 15 schools where it is available are using Islands to communicate in the wake of the most recent school shooting.
Groups are interested in communicating about the shooting and about their personal opinions and beliefs. Isenberg notes that he was impressed by the level of engagement and level of civil engagement.
