Showdown In The White House: John Kelly and Jared Kushner Go Head To Head
It appears a battle is brewing in the White House between Senior Advisor Jared Kushner and Chief of Staff John Kelly. The latter reportedly downgraded Kushner's security status, and some members of the Trump family aren't too happy about it.

On Capitol Hill, gun control is still the primary focus. House leaders have said they will not vote to raise the purchasing age for guns. Marcotte reviews the other gun control proposals still on the table, and whether any stand a chance of passing.
There has been a series of violent attacks in Afghanistan in the past week as U.S. troops withdrawal deadline approaches. The evacuation effort is winding down with 1,200 people evacuated in the last 24 hours, compared to last week's 24-hour span high of 21,000, and it is reported that there are around 250 people still waiting to be airlifted.
