Sven Carlin, author at Seeking Alpha, discusses the market volatility we've seen over the last several weeks and whether now is a good time to buy.
Carlin says that any investments should be looked at from a risk/reward perspective, adding that there is too much risk right now to buy. He discusses comments from American investor Ray Dalio who said that there is a 70% chance of a recession in the next two years. Carlin says those who have made a lot of money from the markets recently should sit on that cash until things settle down.
He recommends that people invest in commodities, hard assets, and cash for the time being.
