Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH): There's "No Beef" to Trump's Statements
Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur represents the ninth district of Ohio. She joined Cheddar just hours after Republicans announced plans, backed by the White House, to overall the U.S. tax code.
Representative Kaptur believes Republicans wrote their new plan behind closed doors, and its impact on everyday Americans is still unclear. The congresswoman believes President Trump's statements on battling the opioid crisis have "no beef" behind them. She also spoke about the latest in the special investigation into Russian influence on the 2016 presidential election.
Essex Mayor Calvin Kinney cited safety of the public and parade participants in refusing “parade participants geared toward the promotion of, or opposition to, the politically charged topic of gender and/or sexual identification/orientation."
They will consider a short-term funding measure to keep government offices fully functioning and provide emergency funding for Ukraine and federal disaster funds.
