Anthony Chan, chief economist for Chase, analyzes what he's seen from the markets so far in 2018. He says the markets have mostly recovered after a period of volatility in January.
Chan isn't too concerned about countries buying U.S. debt. Rumors suggested China would stop buying U.S. Treasury Securities but Chan notes that hasn't happened yet.
Chan also isn't worried about a market correction following the volatility we saw in January. Chan says the VIX usually peaks after a market correction has occurred.
