Ralph Lauren unveiled its 2018 Team USA Olympic uniforms for the opening ceremony on Monday. Ralph Lauren's Chief Innovation Officer, David Lauren, explains the technology and design behind the uniforms. "It's cutting edge of heating technology," said Lauren. "This is a conductive ink. It's got silver and carbon. The actual material is actually as thick as a thread of hair." The parka is designed to keep Team USA's athletes warm in PyeongChang's cold temperatures. The uniform is made in the United States, and a portion of the proceeds supports the olympic athletes. Ralph Lauren has outfitted the USA Olympic team since 2008. "Technology that is wearable has to be about what the customer wants and needs," says Lauren. "Finding the right blend is a tough thing for a lot of brands. So far, we've done it pretty well."
