Rain Phoenix and Moon Zappa Start Music Podcast to Showcase Emerging Artists
They are both part of Hollywood Royalty: Rain Phoenix is the sister of Joaquin and River Phoenix and Moon Zappa is the eldest daughter of Frank Zappa. Both women sit down with Alyssa Julya Smith in Los Angeles to talk about teaming up for a new podcast called "Launch Left."
The podcast features today’s biggest musicians and artists who give their take on the next generation of up-and-coming artists and bands that they’re most excited about.
As two women from artistically uncompromising families, Moon and Rain celebrate nonconformists who achieve success by doing it their way. They talk about the idea of supporting "left of center" emerging artists who are ready to carry the torch for the next generation as well as some of the guests who have been on the show, including MOBY and Spike Jonze.
The podcast premiered October 31st on iTunes, Stitcher, and FeralAudio.com, with new episodes dropping weekly.
