*By Max Godnick* The Philadelphia rapper and die-hard 76ers fan Freeway wants LeBron James to take his talents to the City of Brotherly Love. "I don't know what it's going to take, but we need to make it happen," Freeway said Tuesday in an interview with Cheddar. Though his [prediction](https://revolt.tv/stories/2018/05/03/freeway-rejoices-meek-mills-release-predicts-championship-76ers-070043767d) that his hometown team would win the NBA championship failed to come true, and James's Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Golden State Warriors in the finals, Freeway said the future could be bright for player and team if they joined forces. "It would be amazing for the city," said Freeway. "We have so much young talent on the team and I think LeBron could really come over there and shape it and make it happen." James can become a free agent at the end of the month if he chooses to opt out of his current contract with Cleveland. Freeway has been vocal proponent of all sorts of causes dear to his city. He supported fellow Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill's release from prison in April after almost five months of a two-to-four year sentence for violating his probation. Freeway said he hopes his friend's ordeal can help in reforming the criminal justice system. It has now been two days since Major League Baseball moved to cancel opening day games for the upcoming season. The announcement from MLB commissioner Rob Manfred came during the league's ongoing work stoppage, just the ninth in MLB history. Owners voted unanimously on December 2, 2021 to enact a lockout after the collective bargaining agreement between the league and players expired. On March 1, 2022, following over a week of daily negotiations between the two sides, and three months of on and off negotiations, the league officially canceled the first two series of the regular season.
