Apple is planning to invest big in the U.S. economy over the next five years. The company announced a $350 billion dollar investment, including the construction of a new campus and the addition of 20,000 new jobs. President Donald Trump is taking credit for this move because of the new tax reform legislation. Amazon announces a list of 20 candidates for its HQ2. Some of the cities still in the running are Atlanta, Washington D.C., Miami, Los Angeles, and Chicago, just to name a few. The company will make a final decision later this year. Nestlé dismisses CEO after he has relationship with a subordinate
Nestlé has dismissed its CEO Laurent Freixe after an investigation into an undisclosed relationship with a direct subordinate. The company announced on Monday that the dismissal was effective immediately. An investigation found that Freixe violated Nestlé’s code of conduct. He had been CEO for a year. Philipp Navratil, a longtime Nestlé executive, will replace him. Chairman Paul Bulcke stated that the decision was necessary to uphold the company’s values and governance. Navratil began his career with Nestlé in 2001 and has held various roles, including CEO of Nestlé's Nespresso division since 2024.
