*By: Madison Alworth* Fans of *Get Out* and *A Quiet Place* may have a new film to watch out for this summer. *Beach House* is an eerie thriller that turns innocent infatuation into a dangerous, maybe violent, game. The summer season is puttering along as usual for college student Emma, until an old friend of the family comes to town. "She finds herself in a situation where Paul, who's come to town, is mysterious and enchanting and yet potentially has committed murder and is here with sinister intentions," said actress Willa Fitzgerald, who plays Emma, in an interview with Cheddar. Fans can expect to question each turn of events as young Emma learns more of Paul's past. *Beach House* dials in the themes of thriller movies that have been rocking the box office. And according to Fitzgerald, it's not just that audiences are loving being scared ー nostalgia also strikes a cord. With countless reboots on the big and small screen, the movie takes advantage of this trend. "This film in particular pays a lot of homage to classic thriller and suspense movies, a lot of Hitchcock references in there," said Fitzgerald. "It's a 'looking back.' I feel like, is happening a lot in television right now. There's a really big focus on the '70s and '80s and that kind of stylistic tone." *Beach House* will be released on June 22nd. More Men Than Women Are Happy to Return to the Office, Says Harris Poll
A just-released Harris Poll revealed that there are some differences of opinion among workers on returning to the office. The survey showed that 52 percent of women would still prefer to work from home versus 41 percent of men. Retailer Trade Group Wants Online Platforms to Clamp Down on Resale of Stolen Goods
The Retail Industry Leaders Association released a report alleging the safety risks, economic losses, and potential job losses they link to a surge in shoplifting crimes in the United States. Lisa LaBruno, senior EVP of retail operations at the trade organization, joined Cheddar News to discuss the impact of websites that allow for the resale of unverified goods and passing the INFORM Consumers Act to stamp it out. “We need to hold the online marketplaces accountable for being a favored venue for criminals to resell stolen product," LaBruno said. "And that is exactly what the INFORM Act is designed to do."

Lauren Gibbs, the 2018 Team USA silver medalist in bobsledding, joined Cheddar News to give her perspective on this year's games and what the competitors have gone through. “Its definitely a mixed bag, you know? It's like I just had the most incredible athletic experience of my life, but then its like its over in a flash," Gibbs said about the feelings an athlete can go through after finishing. She noted that it's important for them to be vocal and reach out to support networks after the rush of competition ends.
