New Indie Film "Becks" is Loved by Fans and Critics
Imagine leaving your job, driving cross-country for your girlfriend only to find out she was cheating on you. That's just the start of the new indie movie hit, "Becks."
Lena Hall and Dan Fogler star in the new film and Elizabeth Rohrbaugh is the co-director, writer, and producer. The three join Cheddar to give details of this new film and why it's been given a 93% on Rotten Tomato.
"Becks" is based on the life of artist Alyssa Robbins. Both Dan Fogler and Elizabeth Rohrbaugh know Robbins personally and it was great to bring the story to the screen.
Rohrbaugh thinks this film resonates with so many people because it is authentic and real.
You might recognize the Wollman Rink in Central Park from its appearances in famous movies like Serendipity and Home Alone 2. And it's also a spot where New Yorkers and visitors flock for some time out on the ice. Andrew Perry, director of operations of Wollman Rink NYC, spoke with Cheddar News about the rink's history, its operations and what to expect when visiting.
The contract agreement reached Wednesday must still be approved by the union's board and its members, but the leadership said actors will be allowed to return to work starting Thursday.
