Rae Paoletta, space editor for Inverse, discusses the latest discovery by the Kepler Space Telescope, which located an 8th planet in the Kepler-90 system, making it the only system with as many planets as our own. Paoletta describes the planet as very hot, with a rocky surface, and slightly bigger than Earth. She weighs in on Google's machine learning technology, which allowed researchers to locate the planet, noting that she does not think it would have been possible without the tech giant. Researchers also believe there could be more planets to come. We also discuss whether there could be life in this system. Paoletta doesn't completely count it out, but she notes that it's very doubtful.
