Lassa explains the future of the car show has been in doubt for a couple of years now, with more and more automakers moving toward tech events like CES. Carroll says to not read too much into this, as Mercedes isn't the first brand to drop out of the Detriot Auto Show. Many car companies are not attending because it can be very expensive.
