Celebrity Chef Mario Batali is stepping away from his restaurant empire following allegations of sexual misconduct. Eater NY Editor Serena Dai explains the reporting that went into Eater's exclusive story on these revelations. Dai says the two reporters on this story spoke to dozens of employees within the Batali restaurant empire. Four women accused Batali of inappropriate touching, according to the report. Batali did not deny the allegations, saying they "match up" to his behavior. ABC's "The Chew" also asked the celebrity chef to step away from the program. Dai says that, until this report, there wasn't much made public about Batali's behavior crossing the line. It is not yet known if or when Batali will completely resign from his company.
