London Taxi Drivers to Sue Uber For $1.5 Billion in Losses
The black cab drivers are exploring the possibility of bringing a class action lawsuit against the ride-hailing app, arguing that tens of thousands of them have seen their earnings dwindle with Uber's presence in the British capital. Last month, Uber [won back its license](https://cheddar.com/videos/uber-wins-back-license-to-operate-in-london) to operate in London, after the transportation authority initially cited the company's poor working conditions. A handful of retailers will report earnings this week, including Home Depot, Target, Walmart and Macy's, as gas prices peaked in September to the end of this latest quarter while borrowing costs remain at their highest levels in decades.
