It's been a wild week in Washington from gun control conversation shaking up, to personnel changes, and now trade wars. Political Consultant Rick Wilson explains his take on the repercussions of the chaos inside the White House.
"I think that the president's views on guns have always been subject to question," said Wilson. "He mediates every decision by television."
After White House Communications Director Hope Hicks announced her resignation this week, we asked Wilson who might be next to depart.
"I don't think there's a tenable path for Jared Kushner to stay in the White House," said Wilson. "I think he is in really really deep water."
Members of the House returned to Washington, DC, on Tuesday to vote on a short-term increase of the U.S. debt limit. The temporary measure will allow the federal government to pay its bills until December 3.
Futures rebounded this morning in reaction to positive news from Merck that its covid-19 treatment pill is 50 percent effective at preventing hospitalizations and death.
