Flynn says he started cooking at the age of ten after he got bored with the meals his mom was making. His mom, Meg, is a filmmaker herself, and began filming her son at the same time.
Yates says he knew he wanted to make a documentary about Flynn and Meg as soon as he met them. Yates explains he searched through hundreds of hours of footage to make the film.
French President Emmanuel Macron hailed Birkin as a “complete artist,” noting that her soft voice went hand-in-hand with her “ardent” activism. Culture Minister Rima Abdul Malak called Birkin “the most French British person" and “the emblem for a whole epoch who never went out of fashion."
