Brett Holts, Vice President of Nike Running Footwear, introduces Nike's newest sneaker, the Epic React Flyknit. The new shoe features a brand new foam compound. Holts says the new foam was developed entirely by Nike. The company went through 400 iterations of the foam before finding the perfect fit. Holts explains the Epic React Flyknit shoe returns energy to the runner with each step and amplifies the sensation of softness. He recognizes how important style is, saying there's "no performance without style". In the ongoing sneaker wars between Nike and Adidas, Holts says competition is always good, but Nike is focused on its own goals.
