Olympians Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall made history at this year's winter games. The duo accomplished what no American woman had done before, capturing a medal in cross-country skiing. The pair share their experience in achieving gold in the team sprint free final.
"It's been a total whirlwind--I don't think there's actually any way we could have prepared for what it was going to feel like," said Diggins.
"It was well worth the wait," said Randall who won the gold after eighteen tries in this competition. "It's just an amazing--satisfying feeling."
The NBA’s 78th season starts Tuesday, with a ring ceremony in Denver — the traditional celebration of the reigning champions — highlighting the opening-night celebration. American officials expressed disappointment Monday after learning that bobsled, skeleton and luge events will not be held in Italy during the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics, a move that means athletes from those sports will likely be competing in either Austria or Switzerland during the games.
