If you're a planner and have already sketched out where every single piece of furniture will go in your home Nayak says to throw it all out! She suggests setting up the most important rooms first (your bedroom and TV room), but holding off on some of the rooms used less often. This allows you to live in the space and determine what you need or don't need. Plus, want to splurge on a few projects to make yourself happier and increase the home's value? Nayak says upgrading kitchen cabinetry, painting walls with a pop of color and updating your curb appeal are the best bang-for-your-buck projects.
