The gas planet is said to be the size of Jupiter or bigger, and it was eaten by an aging star which apparently had been growing and puffing up for eons. Astronomers say it's a prediction of what's to come in 5 billion years, when the sun morphs into a huge red giant and consumes its four inner planets, including Earth.
