When talking about art and real estate, you normally think of the pieces decorating the inside of a home, but public art in the community around your home can have a big impact on the surrounding real estate market. Just look at Wynwood - a neighborhood in Miami that was transformed from a danger zone to an international art destination. Jessica Goldman, CEO of Goldman Properties and Goldman Global Arts, explains why her company saw potential in Wynwood before bringing street artists into the neighborhood. She says as born and raised New Yorkers, she and her family liked the fact that it was urban and had walking potential. At the time Miami was largely considered a driving city. Goldman also explains the company's strategy behind revitalizing a neighborhood. "You want people to play in the neighborhood, then you want people to work in the neighborhood, and then you want people to live in the neighborhood."
