How One Woman Made It From Foster Care To The C-Suite

As a child Debra Vizzi spent years in and out of different foster homes. Now she's running the largest food banks in the country. Vizzi joins Cheddar to share insight into how her childhood prepared her to take on the challenges of leading a large non-profit. She says that being on your own from a young age teaches life lessons that people pay thousands of dollars to learn in business school. Vizzi also shares her tips for success for other people who face the same circumstances she did. To be a good leader, Vizzi says you need to have a vision and stay true to that vision. Leaders are people who are able to see things in the future that others can't, yet.
