How Cvent is Leveraging Data to Power Event Management
Capturing and understanding data is becoming increasingly important for business. Software company Cvent is working to help businesses better understand how attendees are responding to their events. Cvent's Chief Marketing Officer Patrick Smith explains how its technology works for both event planners and venues.
Smith says Cvent's technology powers the human connection, and sits at the intersection of event planners, venues, and hosts. The Cvent platform offers features such as online registration and attendee tracking. Smith says the technology ultimately automates the process.
In 2017, Cvent was acquired by Vista Equity Partners for $1.65 Billion. "They've done a great job investing in the business, and helping us accelerate our growth plans around the world," said Smith.
