There are smart cars, smartphones, and even smart doorbells — and now one company is introducing the smart bathroom to help people maintain their health.
At the 2023 Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas, healthtech company Baracoda showed off several items aimed at boosting health, including a balance bath mat. It measures a user's weight and body composition and can help with ailments like back pain. The Kolibree toothbrush, which is a collaboration project with Colgate uses AI to help ensure all the nooks and crannies in your teeth are getting proper care when brushing.
Thomas Serval, CEO and co-founder at Baracoda, said that his company's goal is to help boost the health of its customer base.
"We are trying to turn your bathroom into a place where you can get as much information to prevent the most common diseases," he said.
Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft and other companies that are leading the development of artificial intelligence technology have agreed to meet a set of AI safeguards brokered by President Joe Biden's administration.
