Legendary choreographer Laurieann Gibson discusses her new Lifetime docu-series "Laurieann Gibson: Beyond The Spotlight." Gibson has choreographed music videos for stars like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Missy Elliot.
Gibson explains now the was the right time for a reality series, because "everyone has become so desensitized to the process." Gibson says people expect great art immediately and don't realize how much work actually goes into it.
Gibson goes on to say the process of creating art isn't always glamorous and people need to see that. She has grown up in the entertainment industry alongside Sean "Puffy" Combs, a frequent collaborator. Gibson explains their mutual hunger, drive, and passion for excellence is what keeps bringing them back together.
