Fun In The Sun With Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Models
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models Georgia Gibbs and Chase Carter discuss the 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The magazine is on sale now.
Carter says there were "a lot of tears" when she found out she would be in the issue, her first. Gibbs first auditioned for the magazine in 2017, before getting it this year. She says she's "so, so grateful".
This year issue features a section called "In Her Own Words", with each model nude, covered only by phrases of their choosing. Carter calls the spread "empowering", and says it's the most accomplished feeling. Gibbs says it was beautiful and powerful, and responding to critics of the feature says "there's always going to be critics when you're making change".
