Ford Ousts North American Chief, Geely Invests Big in Daimler

Marty Padgett, editorial director at Motor Authority, discusses the ousting of Ford's North American President Raj Nair following allegations of inappropriate behavior. Padgett says this is Ford's #MeToo moment. We talk about the allegations of sexual and racial harassment at Ford plants detailed in a New York Times report a few weeks ago. Padgett expects more revelations to come out around sexual harassment in the auto industry. After speaking with his female colleagues, Padgett says they were surprised Nair's ouster didn't happen sooner. Padgett also weighs in on Geely's purchase of a $9 billion stake in Daimler. The deal should give the Chinese holding company access to Daimler's board and electric car technology.
