*By Christian Smith* With just a day remaining until Election Day, the president of EMILY's List is feeling confident that the millions of dollars her organization spent on pro-choice Democratic women running for office will pay off, thanks to a strong early voting turnout. "Often in midterm elections, we do see a bigger drop-off by women voters, particularly younger women voters, in midterms," Stephanie Schriock said Monday in an interview on Cheddar. "I'm not seeing any of that drop-off." Early voting numbers are far outpacing early voter turnout in the last midterm election cycle. NBC News [reported](https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/georgia-gop-gov-candidate-kemp-defends-vote-hacking-investigation-i-n931336) that more than 35 million votes have been counted so far ー 14 million higher than tallies taken at this same point in 2014. EMILY's List's independent expenditure arm called WOMEN VOTE! is projected to spend more than $46 million in this election cycle, according to a [memo](https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/emaoconnor/record-number-women-candidates-democrats-election-emilys) obtained by Buzzfeed. That's $7 million more than the amount the group spent in 2016. Voter turnout will be key for incumbent Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO), who is locked in a statistical tie with her Republican challenger Josh Hawley in a red state that President Trump won by double digits in 2016. To boost the campaign, EMILY's List has helped Sen. McCaskill raise over $1 million and spent over $4 million through WOMEN VOTE! on her campaign ー a decision Schriock said she would make again, regardless of Tuesday's outcome. "We would do it again in a split second because she's been such a champion for women and families across Missouri, and she's a real role model of a moderate voice that we need to have in the U.S. Senate," Schriock said.
