DJ Khaled Named Social Media Ambassador for Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers just named DJ Khaled their social media ambassador for 2018. The famous producer will document his progress on social media as he completes the "WW Freestyle" weight-loss program.
Alyssa Julya Smith sits down with Ben Landis, CEO of Fanbase, to get his reaction to this change. Landis explains that Khaled's social media is uplifting and inspirational, so his followers will appreciate his message.
Landis also explains that DJ Khaled is opening up Weight Watcher's demographic to include his followers, which may not be as familiar with the brand. He also briefly touches on the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's decision to move the Golden Globe's pre-show from Twitter to Facebook, saying the fact that Facebook also owns Instagram may have factored into the decision.
