Georgia's Lieutenant Governor is calling on Delta to reinstate its relationship with the NRA. The backlash coming after Delta alerted the NRA plans to end its contract for discounted rates. Think Progress Editor Judd Legum explains how corporate america is splitting with NRA amid pressure from groups in light of a mass shooting inside a Florida high school earlier this month.
"The NRA has had a lot of power over elected officials, and influence on votes," said Legum. "But they are entering into a different environment. There is a lot of energy and activism on the other side."
Delta's move to split with the NRA is just one of a number of decisions made throughout corporate America. Students from Parkland are energizing this movement for stricter gun laws.
"I think it shows the intensity of the energy around this issue and how they are able to influence people's opinions," said Legum.
