A Federal judge has denied AT&T's request to disclose communications between Justice Department officials and the White House. That judge is handling the Justice Department's lawsuit to block AT&T's $85 billion purchase of Time Warner. Tuesday's ruling is a blow to AT&T's attempt to show that the lawsuit to block the deal is politically motivated by President Trump's dislike for CNN, which Time Warner owns. Albertsons is buying a big portion of Rite Aid to create a company worth $24 Billion. Shares of Rite Aid soared as much as 8 percent on the news. This acquisition comes as many retailers join forces to compete with Amazon, which is involved in nearly every industry from retail, to grocery, and now even healthcare. Marijuana advocates are awaiting a federal judge's decision on its challenge against federal marijuana laws. Five plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against the DEA and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. It challenges the listing of marijuana as a schedule I drug, which classifies the drug as having no medical use and it cannot be legally prescribed.
