It's been a year since the 2022 Oscars' slap heard 'round the world, and the recipient of said slap, comedian Chris Rock, has finally addressed the infamous moment in a stand up special for Netflix. The special, titled "Selective Outrage," tackled hot topics such as "wokeness," racism and addiction, but Rock saved his comments about Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith until the last 10 minutes of his set. After some not-safe-for-morning-TV kind of jokes, Rock said the slap was more about the couple's relationship than him. He also said you won't see him sitting down to talk about the incident with the likes of Oprah, saying "it will never happen."
The HBCU Transformation Project, a coalition of 40 historically Black colleges and universities, on Wednesday announced a $124 million gift from philanthropic funders Blue Meridian Partners to increase enrollment, graduation rates and employment rates for the schools' graduates.
