He wasn't originally planning on staying, but 25 books and 14 TV series later, he is one of the most recognizable chefs in the world. Pepin discusses the factors that led to his success in the culinary world. He also shares the story behind first meeting Julia Child, and their ensuing 50 year friendship. Pepin also chimes in on the way that social media and the internet are changing the food industry. He says that no matter what you want to do, it all comes down to understanding the kitchen and knowing how to cook.
