Eric Harris, president and chief operating officer at Cheddar, joins us to talk about the company's participation in Cycle for Survival, an indoor charity cycling event raising money for rare cancers.
Harris notes that cancer is a disease affecting almost everyone at some point in their lives. All proceeds from the charity event will go towards research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Cheddar will take part in the event on March 9, 2018. The company has already raised $18,000.
The Environmental Protection Agency is proposed banning a cancer-causing chemical that can be found in products like car break cleaners, laundry spot removers and some arts and crafts sprays.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a warning to doctors, saying a key drug used to prevent respiratory infections in babies is in limited supply.
