Catt Sadler Leaves E! Network Over Wage Gap Controversy
Longtime E! host Catt Sadler announced she is leaving the entertainment network. She made the decision after learning her co-host Jason Kennedy makes double her salary.
In a post on her blog, theCATTWALK, Sadler said she couldn't echo the actions of her heroes if she stayed. Alicia Lutes, Managing Editor at Nerdist, discusses what Sadler's decision means for other women in media. Lutes says E! has a lot to explain in the wake of the news.
Lutes also discusses the fan controversy surrounding the latest Star Wars movie. "The Last Jedi" has received some of the highest scores from critics when it comes to the Star Wars franchise, however, fans are not as happy with the film. Lutes lays out the reasons fans say "The Last Jedi" is a failure.
