Boeing's Chief Executive has once again told the public his company will beat Elon Musk's SpaceX in its mission to Mars. Will Goodman, Managing Editor at Rockets are Cool, joins Cheddar to discuss the competition between the two aviation companies. Boeing believes it will do a "slingshot" mission around the moon by 2019. However, NASA says that most likely won't happen and gives people a more realistic date of June 2020. Either company making it to Mars it really comes down to funding. Goodman talks about how much the flight will cost for each company. Plus, SpaceX will attempt to re-launch both an orbital rocket and the Dragon spacecraft together for the first time on Tuesday. This will be a huge step for the company when it comes to reusing products, and Goodman talks about how much money it will save if successful.
