A throwback to vintage Beyoncé dropped today with a new album of old songs recorded long before Queen Bey began her reign.

Her father Mathew Knowles released Destiny's Child: The Untold Story Presents Girls Tyme, on streaming services Monday with 15 never-before-heard tracks from Girls Tyme, the group Beyoncé and her childhood friend Kelly Rowland joined at age eight.

"There's so much you don't know," he said of his daughter's time before her solo music career.

Girls Tyme had gone through several names changes before eventually becoming Destiny's Child, which really springboarded Knowles and Rowland into the spotlight. Before today, no tracks had ever been formally released from the stars' pre-Destiny's Child era.

Knowles, who is now CEO of Music World Entertainment, managed his daughter's musical career through the years, including Destiny's Child when the act was at the height of its popularity. Along with the album, the former manager released a book, which he told Cheddar "tells an incredible story of the ups, a lot of downs, a lot of failures and mistakes."

It was unclear if any former member of the musical groups is involved with the release of the tracks or the book.
